Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Reports To: Chief Clinical Officer Schedule: TBD
Location: Field and Hospice Homes Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Target Start Date: Immediately Status: PRN (As Needed)
Responsibilities: The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, working collaboratively with the Medical Director and other hospice and palliative care physicians, provides care to patients and families experiencing life-limiting progressive illness across the life span and in diverse settings. The APN will provide evidence-based physical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual/existential palliative care, in collaboration with the hospice physician, to hospice and palliative care patients referred to Circle of Life. The APN may also conduct recertification visits, evaluating for and documenting relevant clinical information to be used by Medical Director or Hospice Physician as part of the hospice recertification process. Work may include weekend rotations.
Requirements: Advanced Practice Nurse licensed in the State of Arkansas, without restriction
Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Arkansas, without restriction
Arkansas Prescriptive Authority License
CPR certification kept current; satisfactory TB skin test kept current
Minimum of two years of RN or NP hospice or oncology experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Current State of Arkansas drivers license and automobile insurance
Current Collaborative Practice Agreement with hospice medical director.
Education: Minimum requirement Master’s Degree in Nursing with board certification from an accredited body in a field that equips the APN to provide care to a variety of conditions in adult health such as Adult Nurse Practitioner, Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, or Family Nurse Practitioner.
