Typically, care in our hospice homes is short-term and is provided for active pain and symptom control. General Inpatient Care (GIP) is our highest level of care for patients needing 24/7 acute symptom management and daily interventions from the hospice physician.
Respite care is available for up to 5 consecutive days. This short term care is provided for patients to allow a break to family members or others who are caring for the patient at home. This is coordinated through your care team.
